ERS' ode to Mission Impossible and turn of the century New York City, McGurk unfolds in The Bowery's legendary saloon, "McGurk's Suicide Hall." In a ploy to expose a corrupt politician from the past, a crack team of imposters recreate the infamous bar where prostitutes and other low life came to poison themselves. Gambling, carribean-style demon-possession, burlesque performances by a mason jar and, finally, a fixed election ensue before the clueless mark, Alexander Washington Plinkett, is undone.
